ABOUT US

Bordsjö is beautifully situated on the north shore of Lake Bordsjö. The property was mentioned as early as 1365 with Peter Ehrengiselesson Bonde as its first owner. The property has been owned by the Bonde family ever since then and is one of the oldest family properties in Sweden. 

Bordsjö covers 6 400 hectares of which 4 500 hectares consist of productive woodland. Apart from forestry the company deals in property. 

Meat production is the most important part of our own farming. Our meat and plant production is KRAV (Organic Guarantee System) marked. 

A ‘green’ forestry plan has been drawn up in which the aims of the Forestry Law have been applied with the goal of high and permanent forestry production. 

Game preservation is another important part of our company profile. Game preservation is therefore a natural integral part of our forestry management and has a long tradition at Bordsjö. 

Our working philosophy is to develop our various activities in keeping with tradition. We want to preserve what previous generations have built up and we see our mission to be not only to preserve our heritage but also to improve it.
